It's been a while since I've updated my blog, but it's also been a very very long time since I've updated my X-Files. Yes today is the day when I have such an eerie encounter yet again.
First it happened around 10.30pm++ after Law class. Me and 3 friends are walking on the streets, back towards our college when a car honked at someone. That someone is on the opposite side of the road of us, and she is wearing a blue baju kurung, holding a red plastic with a polistrene box inside. She is standing still on the sidewalk, and she was staring at the huge ancient tree. Just staring.
It's late at night? Why would a normal girl would stand all alone in the middle of the darkness staring at an old tree? Aft first i was like, maybe she's stopped to chat on her mobile. I was proved wrong. Cars kept honking at her, and suddenly, she turned around to face the street. I wasn't watching as she turned, but I saw her face when she stared at the honking car. It was creepy. Her face is like frozen, expressionless.
The car that was honking at her apparently felt the same way when they speed away lightning fast. A friend that saw the way she turned, commented that it was creepy,unnatural, slow and clockwork-like. She stood straight up, stiff,and unmoving.
God I knew I have to do something, like do something to get her out of her catatonia or something. But somehow I'm not that brave. Yet I'm worried about her. People might take that chance to rob her, if they were brave.
After a while, we walked passed her and as I turned back to look at her again, she have turned back to stare at the old, huge tree again. As if she was caught in the tree's spell, held captive.
We told our hostel's guard about that incident, and he went to check. We never knew what happened. But when I took a peek at my balcony, where the huge tree is within sight, I saw that there's no one under it. Maybe she went home safely. Maybe. I hope.
I would like to warn people, especially girls, to never ever walk alone at night. If you really must, walk in the streetlights, not under darkness, especially under the tree shades. Please. Dangers from being victims of a crime aside...
