Best of 2010 Part 1

This year, for me, is one of the best years of my life. I always lived a semi-charmed life, and yet this year I feel that I'm truly charmed. The best year of my life.I am born on the year of the tiger, and this year is the year of the tiger too. Maybe that's why...heheh. I wish my luck would carry on to the next year. And the next.

Recap of 2010 stats with my holiday trips...

Okay 2010 holiday highlights:

Started with last year's December trip to Kota Kinabalu. Near Chrismas.

Haha found this mannequin during last year's trip in 1Borneo in KK. Funny pose. And the pillow location is very strategic.

Went to the Taman Laut Tunku Abdul Rahman. Went to Pulau Manukan and Pulau Mamutik only. Supposed to go to Pulau Sapi but my mom stepped on a sea urchin (and my thumb was bitten by a sharp teethed coral eating fish) so we went back early.

Next went to visit Gunung Kinabalu. The view is utterly awesome and out of this world. You have to go and see it for yourself. I'm serious. Next day went shopping and bought tonnes of pearl and exotic fish to bring back home.

Next highlight is my trip to southern thailand. Phuket,Krabi and Hadyai are the main destinations in this tour.

First stop Krabi. Picture taken somewhere in Krabi. Next stop Phuket. Phuket have been devastated by tsunami, so this signboard are everywhere.

Next stop Hadyai. Shopping time!

This was taken at the famous hadyai floating market. I have to say the food are delicious!

I caught this when Josh threw it during their concert. Priceless!

I went to their concert in Malaysia several months ago, and I have to say even though Hayley Williams is their frontman, the Farro brothers are Paramore's pillars. Without them, Paramore is still Paramore, but less authentic. What I'm saying is the Paramore with them is like concentrated Parfum oil, the Paramore without them is like Eau de Toilette. Who's gonna replace Zac? Josh? Hey Josh I know you just got married but why? Why leave?

I wish them happiness in whatever they will do in the future though. And Hayley too.

I do. Years ago. If I had more courage, if I wasn't what I was back then, maybe things would be different. Maybe. I hope he's happy now. And I will find my own  happiness with someone else.

Dreams

I woke up this morning to find myself still lingering in the dream I was having. It's like it really happened.  

The thing is why on earth did I dream of him?

So beast!

Last night I kept tossing and turning, and fell into a dreamless sleep. When I woke up it was 9 am and immediately I went online and checked my result.The butterflies and the violent churning of my stomach dissappeared immediately. It's like a weight have been lifted off my shoulder, a vice grip have been removed from my heart. From now I can sleep well. Thanks god!. 

Anyway ... BEAST/B2ST is coming to Malaysia!!. Aren't they awesome! So BEAST!

Fractured

Who fractured what? 

I'm actually in KL right now, because several days ago my sis was walking when she slipped and fractured her ankle. She have been inserted with some metal plate and several screws during the operation and now is housebound. 

Just want to share the gory pictures. And cause I'm bored since I'm housebound too. 

Flood in Kedah Nov 2010

The following are pictures taken in areas near my house in my hometown Alor Setar. My house is located at Taman Rakyat Jalan Sultanah. I lived there for my whole life and I assure you that It Has Never Been Hit By The Flood Before! Alor Setar does not, I repeat, does suffer from flood before this. There's not even a river nearby, and no huge drains too. I wonder where the water comes from, and I heard a lot of conspiracy theories about how this came to happen. The entire area was submerged for 3 whole days. You have to imagine the house condition after being submerged under muddy water for that long.

Of huge trees in the middle of the night.

It's been a while since I've updated my blog, but it's also been a very very long time since I've updated my X-Files. Yes today is the day when I have such an eerie encounter yet again.

First it happened around 10.30pm++ after Law class. Me and 3 friends are walking on the streets, back towards our college when a car honked at someone. That someone is on the opposite side of the road of us, and she is wearing a blue baju kurung, holding a red plastic with a polistrene box inside. She is standing still on the sidewalk, and she was staring at the huge ancient tree. Just staring.

It's late at night? Why would a normal girl would stand all alone in the middle of the darkness staring at an old tree? Aft first i was like, maybe she's stopped to chat on her mobile. I was proved wrong. Cars kept honking at her, and suddenly, she turned around to face the street. I wasn't watching as she turned, but I saw her face when she stared at the honking car. It was creepy. Her face is like frozen, expressionless.

The car that was honking at her apparently felt the same way when they speed away lightning fast. A friend that saw the way she turned, commented that it was creepy,unnatural, slow and clockwork-like. She stood straight up, stiff,and unmoving.

God I knew I have to do something, like do something to get her out of her catatonia or something. But somehow I'm not that brave. Yet I'm worried about her. People might take that chance to rob her, if they were brave.

After a while, we walked passed her and as I turned back to look at her again, she have turned back to stare at the old, huge tree again. As if she was caught in the tree's spell, held captive. 

We told our hostel's guard about that incident, and he went to check. We never knew what happened. But when I took a peek at my balcony, where the huge tree is within sight, I saw that there's no one under it. Maybe she went home safely. Maybe. I hope.

I would like to warn people, especially girls, to never ever walk alone at night. If you really must, walk in the streetlights, not under darkness, especially under the tree shades. Please. Dangers from being victims of a crime aside... 

 

Wardrobe Wishlist

What? Another wishlist? If wishes were Ringgits, I've been a certified multi billionaire a long time ago. 

Anyway there are several key items that are missing from my wardrobe, and I will keep my eyes open for them in my future shopping sprees.

TOP 10 MY WARDROBE MUST HAVES

1) Tights

Because I look weird in leggings. I do. Maybe the shape of my legs are not so flattering. So I need more tights. Preferably not too tight (pun intended), not too sheer, made of cotton, will not tear easily.

2) Oversized hairband

Bunny ears, huge ribbons (soo blair waldorf), huge flower, hat, crown, furry, feathers, nets. Anything. I love it!

3) Animal Prints

Preferred zebra, leopard and snakeskin. New Zealand cow pattern and giraffe also acceptable.

4) Jumpsuits

Jumpsuit in a flattering cut yet comfortable, in stretchy yet swingy,light fabric. Not the uniform type of jumpsuit please (think mechanics, no offence intended). Not Naruto orange jumpsuit too please.

5) The boyfriend shirt

Soft, not too large, not to small. Floral pattern, denim, polka dots, anything. Subtly sexy.

6) Military inspired items

Military jackets with brass buttons (think MJ, MCR's black parade), camouflage patterns,cargo pants. Get the picture?

7) Chilli red plain skinny

Why do I want it? Because until now I haven't found one in my size :( So if I have it my obsession with it will probably fade away.

8)The perfect cardigan

Long, short, knitted, cotton, swing, edgy. Haven't really found the perfect one for me. The search will go on!

9)Vest

The waitress, tuxedo vest. Not the denim, woolen ones, or the life jacket/vest.

10)Checkered pants/plaid pants. 

Bored of my same old pair of jeans I guess.

My wildest wishlist

My birthday is just around the corner, and if I could make a wish from a fairy or something to grant my deepest darkest wish I would like to make an order for these items.

1) An unlimited platinum credit card that pays itself automatically

Imagine the shopping spree I could indulge myself without worrying about paying the bills. But of course the downside is that I can't really go to shops that only accepts cash.

2) All expense paid trip to Europe for unlimited days

Haha I always wanted to visit the beautiful places in Germany, England etc. A cool atmosphere makes a great change to the hot and humid weather here.

3) Bring One Manga, etc back! 

One Manga and most of websites hosting scanlations will be removing their contents so NO MORE FREE MANGA READING ONLINE! I do buy manga's but I rely on the online scanlations to get the latest updates on my fave series...and now no more. All I can do is read the out dated copies monthly instead of weekly updates. Good thing is hello Kreko! Gempaq!

4)Doraemon's pocket and it's content

Doraemon's got a handy pocket, where EVERYTHING can be stored there. And if I have one, I would not have to carry bags everywhere and risk being a victim of peragut! And I do love the items Doraemon have: bamboo copter, anywhere door, time machine etc. Seriously great stuffs!

5) A Zettai Kareshi

Watched the series? Read the manga? Watched the anime? Zettai Kareshi translates into Absolute Boyfriend. I don't care if it's a robot as long as it fulfills my criteria for a perfect boyfriend. Heehee. Although I have to admit in the series I loved the human second hero, not the robot.

6)An aquarium

I really love fishies, and that's why I want one. I want one filled with beautiful, colorful fishes swimming in a huge aquarium. If it can fit a mermaid better! Like this KLCC Aquaria one. 

7)A laptop that does not explode from 24 hour use. Heh. 

It must be waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, childproof, lightningproof and etc. And can withstand me.

8)An attachable-removable yet functional wings. Preferred lightweight with fluffy feathers.

Why drive when you can just fly? Alternative: Teleportation pad (refer to the sims 3)

9)Unlimited and fastest broadband in the world

Need I explain more?

10)Health.

Simple thing, but really important. Need no further explanation right?

Today after the police came to our house following the report on the robbery, I end up straightening things in my room. It seems that other than rummaging through my undie drawer, they took several weird things too. Two deodorants, a cologne, Bio-oil, hair creme, my johnson & johnson lotion. The though of the robber using my stuff gave me stress. 

Stress gave me indigestions. And also an overwhelming craving for sweet things. I'm addicted to sugar. And if I kept following this dark path, in 10 years time I'll get diabetes. 

Okay the truth is I was looking through the newspaper two days ago and saw this ad, and I just couldn't get it out of my mind. I have to try it.

Robbery the sequel

The title explains it all. My house have been robbed, again. Today at approximately 7.30pm my mom and I came home to find it ransacked. Everything is all over the place.

We were so F****** angry!

Especially me when I found out that robber ransacked my undie drawer. 

So far we found out the missing items are:

an old tv in the main room

our astro decoder (&*!* now i can't really watch KBS)

an old keris

two of my rucksack (a Roxy and a Deuter bag.) 

a set of bank negara first edition silver coin set

my mom's perfume collection

my mom's cleanser (why on earth??)

of course my undies. I was left with old,torn undies

and counting....

And this is what the crime scene looked like...

No it's not the result of bad housekeeping habits.

The worst thing is this. The open album. The robber has been through the family photo album. Chilling. 

I'm still mad. Deym the robber. Hey mister robber I hope you got hit by an eighteen wheeler and suffer a death so horrifying it would put Final Destination to shame.
