Yesterday is the first time in my life that i went to a spa for a facial. Yes, i've been living for 25 years as a girl but i rarely paid any attention to my face (except when i grew pimples or my skin peeled off after a bad sunburn). I was scheduled to have this session with my sister when she won a couples spa session at this beautyhub place. The facial is using an overseas brand called Payot (pronounced payoo thanks you, it's supposed to be a french/swiss name).
First thing you have to do when you enter this exclusive place is to fill a form or questionaire about your skin. Have you went for a laser peel before? Ever had a botox injection before? What types of skincare are you using now? What are your skin concern; fine lines, neck lines, dark undereye circle etc. Soooo many questions, but i guess it's a good thing that they asked it, they wouldnt want to do anything to your face to find your face have swollen up due to allergies right?
After that they explained the procedure (we are having the hydrating treatment), they gave us a glass of sky juice and let us use the bathroom first since the whole procedure takes 1 hour+++.
They let us into a room and asked us to take everything off and wear their filmsy white gauze spa gown. Take everything off? No way! So i ended taking off my tee only. I was wearing strapless bra and my jeans only when i donned on the robe. I lay down on the bed and the beautician wrapped me up real cozy under the towels. The room is cool, with some soothing music, and the therapist wrapped my head and shoulders with warm towels. It feels heavenly.
The beautician begin to wash my face wih some cream cleanser, and cleaned it away with a sponge. They she lathered something that smells nice and she washed it off again. Then she massaged my head and did something to may hair, she liked pulled it. It feels really good. Seriously. The she scrubbed my face with some fine scrub thingy. Next thing she massaged my hands and feet. My feet are wrapped with hot towels and she pumeled my soles. It feels really nice. Then she rubbed some kind of lotion on my handa and shoulders. I know i am repeating myself but it feels so f***ing nice. Then she steamed my face for a while. It was warm and smells nice so i started to get drowsy.She then asked my permission to start the extraxtion process. She pinced my skin and used some sharp metal thingy to get rid of my blackheads. Luckily i didnt have a lot of blackheads and the process is short and relatively painless. Phew. I was scared when she said she want to do extraction. But it really is painless compared to when i popped my pimple heehee.
Then she applied a mask. She said its a cleansing mask. Its the first of three masks that shes going to put on my face. What? Three mask on my face on a single day? I couldnt open my eyes because she put on something on my eyes. So did you know what i did? I slept like a baby. My sis later laughed at me because she said she heard myself snoring. I guess i cant help myself. It felt really comfy so i fell asleep.
I dont remember my therapist applying another two masks but i finally woke up when i felt her massaging my face with a soft slapping motion. How can i continue sleeping when she slapped my face( soft slapping is still slapping to me ). She then proceed to apply some hydrating serum from Payot and applied some moisturizer. It felt a bit sticky.though.She massaged my face and shoulders and back and then whalla, i am done.
After that they briefed us about the brand and tried to pursuade my sis to buy a package that is worth rm1xxx. What? So expensive. My sis said she ia currently going to Sothys so she'll thing about the offer. They gave us another glass of sky juice before sending us off.
After that we were hungry so we went to the restaurant next door to order food. The restaurant is called Duduk. Cute. So we duduk there and me and my sis discussed our experience while waiting for the food. Overall its a good thing and my sis did laughed a lot at my snoring. The massage feels soo heavenlg. My skin does feel clean, but the moisturizer she applied feel really sticky. And my blackheads on my nose are gone, for a while perhaps. But if the blackheads came back, i really couldnt afford another facial to remove them. Oh well. At least i could have said to people that i have been to a facial.
